He really is a good DJ. the only problem is that he plays techno I wonder how good would he be with progressive house..

Whom do you call a true artist? I would say that people can express their talent in any way they want. In addition, if any art or artist finds its support in such amount of people, I thionk Urcheg you do not have the right to say "not a true artist" If you thinks so, specify, that it is yuor personal opinion))

I believe that if a person is experiencing great support it doesn't mean they are a true artist...it means they are a good business person, or are being led by a good business person;)

true artist is someone who likes to experiment, open new fronteers, push their own limitys, and not just please the crowds...

and...of course, everything that i right in this forum, is just my personal hummble miserabel opinion;)

Well, my dearest friend, I would like to rebuke your argument by poitning out one simple thing: Artists create their masterpieces and share it with people. They create smth because they feel the need of expressing themselves. Sometimes people enjoy it, other times- not very. But art is art and whether or not it brings profit- it is another issue And if a person expresses himself/herself through some art and gets both satisfaction,enjoyment AND money- there is nothing bad and it does not mean that he/she became a business person from an artist.
You said that a true artist is someone who likes to experiment, open new frontiers...blah blah...dare to say that this artist, for instance, does not do it??? Anyways, an artist IS PLEASED when his work satisfies the crowd. He does not create smth just cz or for himself/herself..well, that is my point of I managed to put it clear
